Relief goods came from ka-partners  who responded to Vcargo’s call-out to pick-uprelief goods free of charge.

Vcargo employees have also volunteered to pack company-donated relief goods to show their support to the program’s cause.

“Hindi man ako makapagbigay ng pera, naibigay ko naman ang oras ko ”(Even if I can’t give money, I’m still happy that I was able to give my time for this effort), said Customer Service Associate Angelica Castro, who volunteered her Sunday time to be part of the team of Vcargo volunteers last November 17, 2013.

As of posting time, Vcargo Cares Program coordinator Federick Martinez is busy organizing the second wave of turn-over to partner organizations.

“For those who want to help, we can still pick-up your donations for free, pick-up of goods is every Saturday,” shares Mr. Martinez.

Federick, who has been with the company for 7 years says that Vcargo’s CSR program has leveled up through the years and it can be seen with its employees involvement.

“The numbers of employee-volunteers have significantly increased in the past 2 years, and I think this is a good sign that we are effective as an organization in inculcating the right set of values in its employees,” he stressed.

Vcargo would like to acknowledge the following for their donations:  Kath Rana (via facebook), Joan Reyes, Rowie Juan, Dennis Co, Grace Aguilar, Elma Reyes, Romeo Buenaflor, Rosemarie Buenaflor and Randell Tiongson .

Aside from the free-pick up of relief goods during calamities, Vcargo cares has annual tree-planting activities, blood donation drive in cooperation with the Philippine Red Cross and gift-giving visits at the Bahay Puso Foundation in Bataan.
